Location
I took this photo at my favorite studio, Studio 3mi in Bunker Hill, WV (USA). It's owned by a good friend and mentor of mine who has really helped me in my photography journey.Time
This photo was taken indoors, but I believe it was early-afternoon, perhaps around 2pm.Lighting
Just a single, constant lightEquipment
I used my Olympus EM-10 Mark ii and my 45mm f/1.8 lens.Inspiration
I initially wanted to do more post-processing with this image: I wanted Cat (the model) to only have the flower vines in the reflection, to show inner-growth. However, I ended up just really liking the feel of the photo as-is a lot more than when I tried to process it more heavily.Editing
I only did some mild color and light edits in Lightroom. In my camera bag
I usually have my Olympus camera, the 45mm lens, a 12-42mm, and a 60mm. I carry a mini LED light with me as well.Feedback
Have your model be as close to her reflection as possible. I personally like when they make eye contact via the mirror. And don't worry too much about what your original plan was, I have found that most of the time I get something different and yet better than I originally planned!
