Mid afternoon, Following the blissful ceremonyLighting
Typical high afternoon sunlight, the shade of this spot afforded a setting a better situation for us as wedding filmmakers. I couldn't help but take a couple photos though during the filming. Photography fell mainly, as it should, to a dedicated photographer who was great to work with.Equipment
As stated my partner and I were filming, so we ran up to 4 cams at once , all canon 5D models. We bring our own constant light set ups for later in the day, and record all our sound external, using wireless and/or plugged into sound boards when possible. Multiple lens choices are used as needed from canon's 24 mm 1.4 to 50mm 1.2, to 35 mm 1.4 to 70 -200 2.8. Also we used a steady cam with body brace in this area. Manfrotto Monopods &tris and Shatler tri podsInspiration
On a wedding film..is best not to flip from filming to photography, it can cause you to miss important shots for your later weeding edit ..but sometimes I can't help myself. I liked this sceneEditing
This photo is pretty untouched. All my editing went here: https://vimeo.com/733003215In my camera bag

When you've no control and you are running and gunning.. don't be shy to seek out the best location situation to overcome harsh mid day sun. Your couple will thank you later. Like us, we ran ahead to seek out this possibility. Stay one step ahead!
