This was taken in reading, Pennsylvania! Photography is my passion, I’m self taught! It’s incredible to be able to see and watch myself grow and improve as a photographer! Just a year or two ago I didn’t have the confidence in myself or my photos to call myself a photographer. I thought you had to have a job as a photographer and be making money to have the title. I was wrong and I’m so proud of how far I’ve come as a new photographer and how far I can go from this point!Time
This was taken midnight to early morning hours! There’s just something about the moon and then night sky, I feel a deep connection and draw to to and all of it’s beauty! It’s easy to forget how big the world and universe is and I feel like it in a way keeps me grounded and reminds me just how small and insignificant we really are in the grand scheme of things! And it just leaves me in Awh!Lighting
As much as I would love to hop on this app or other photo apps and sell a photo or make money right away, I’m actually glad that didn’t happen! Every time I go to have another photo shoot with mr moon, it might not be by much but I see an improvement in myself and my photos every time. And to me it’s so fulfilling to be able to truly watch myself grow as a photographer. To see my strengths and weaknesses. Areas to work and improve, i can see myself step by step developing into the photographer I want to be! I don’t utter the words “I’m proud of myself” even close to the amount I should be, and I actually caught myself the other day saying it out loud to myself! I made myself tear up a little, because that was actually a huge step for me not just as a photographer, but as a person. And I see it reflect in my confidence in myself, and I’m just so grateful I found this app and others like it and took a chance on myself, and put my photos out there! To reach more than me or Facebook! One of the best decisions I ever made. I finally feel like I’m on the right path of making my dreams of one becoming a professional photographer, come true!Equipment
Surprisingly, I used a telescope that has a phone attachment, and hooked up my iPhone 6s to it! Which to me I think is incredible for how old and outdated my phone is! I used to have a Kodak easy share, which was 10-12 years old so not much better! But sadly that broke a year or 2 ago! My next investment will be a camera, and I’m so excited to see how my photos improve once I start getting the right equipment!Inspiration
Taking pictures of the moon in a way helps me feel connected family that have passed and it helps me to keep that connection alive! Because they were also some of my biggest supporters and fans. And ones who saw my photo skills and talents way before I did!Editing
Just a little editing I try/ like to keep my photos as raw as I can!In my camera bag
Well nothing yet! Just a telescope and my iPhone 6Feedback
Honestly, that it’s not about getting the perfect shot, just enjoying the beauty of the moon and just relaxing and taking time to breathe and be with yourself. Even time I don’t get that perfect shot I still leave feel better than when I started. For me it’s enjoying the moment getting the “perfect shot” that’s just icing on the cake!:)
