Location
This location was off the main highway. I am self taught photographer, so I every time I go out to shoot its always like a new experience and a new point of view.Time
Early morning, I remember waking up early and sneaking out of the house while my daughter was still as sleep. For me, I try to take advantage of these moments to focus on me as person instead me as a mom.Lighting
I was so nervous of this photo, it was so cold dewy and foggy, with low light conditions.Equipment
This was shot with a Sony A6000, and 16-35mm OSS lens.Inspiration
I love the color for one, and the contrast it provides against the landscape. Also I am farm girl, so anything farm related I really love.Editing
I mainly just adjusted the color so that gate is more saturated and stands out more.In my camera bag
I have my camera body, a Sony 16-35mm, Sigma 100-400 mm (150-600mm crop sensor) 55-210mm and 85mm prime lens. Also I have cleaning kit, extra batteries, charger, and my iPad to back my photos onto. I also learned from a landscape photographer I follow by the name of Mark Denney, not to put your camera in cold conditions like this straight into a hot car. Take those moisture bags that you find in like shoe boxes and things and put them in a bag with your camera body and it dry out your camera and not damage your sensor.Feedback
Take a chance at a picture at something that catches your eye or different point of view. There is going to be point where you have a mental break from the time you take the picture to the time you edit it. What maybe a picture your took could turn out to be the best picture of that day. That was case with this image.
