This is one of my first pictures as a photographer, it was my first session and it’s still one of my favorites. I'm learning photography by myself and this photo taught me a lot, because I didn't trust myself, after seeing this photo I thought... maybe I have a chance. I'm taking this picture on the grass inside my home city, Plasencia (Spain) with a Border Collie puppy called Quilla.Time
I took this photo at one of the best times of the day, the golden hour, June 3, 2020 at 9:17 PM.Lighting
My English is basic, but I love the effect of the sunset light on the grass and the white hair. I took the photo this way for the dramatic effect.Equipment
This was shot with a Sony ILCE 7M3 camera with a Sony 50mm F1.8 OSS lens, no other equipment involved.Inspiration
To be honest I was only inspired by her, I just looked at her and I was in the right place and time to capture the moment. I am a beginner, I will try to see and learn from every picture and every moment.Editing
In this particular photo I used Lightroom for post-processing. I turned the yellow to orange a little bit, and used a radial filter to increase the brightness of the puppy and a horizontal filter to reduce the exposure at the bottom of the photo. In my camera bag
I always have my Sony ILCE 7M3 camera, with my Sony 50mm F 1.8 OSS Lens and 3 extra batteries. (I'm still saving money for more equipment).Feedback
I'm a beginner, so my only advice is to get out there, take lots of pictures, use the force like Luke Skywalker and let your feelings work and do the rest. I just feel the moment and take the shot, because I love that moment and I want to save it.
