Location
I took this photo at a boat ramp just south of Cairns, Australia. At the time this photo was taken I was very new to photography so I was glad I had captured something good.Time
This photo was taken around 6 or 6:30ish during sunset.Lighting
The lighting was already there so I didn’t need to use anything to make it brighter.Equipment
This was shot on my iPhone 8 way before I had a camera to use however it turned out to be one of my best pictures. No flash or any other equipment was used.Inspiration
I was originally just driving around with my family but when I saw the sky and the reflection it made on the water I just had to take a picture of it. The coloured just looked so good together and the way the trees looked silhouetted looked like an amazing picture.Editing
This particular photo only had slight colour enhancement. Usually there would be a bit more editing done to it but this photo was pretty much fine as is.In my camera bag
Nowadays I always pack my Nikon D7500 along with both my 200mm and 300mm lenses. I also pack my macro lens and tripod because you never know what you will find when doing photography so it’s good to keep a small range with you.Feedback
“Sometimes like in this case the picture is right before your eyes and it’s just a case of perfect timing but good landscape pictures usually require a lot of patience. It’s good to go around and take some photos while you wait as a type of warm up. Also get to know your camera settings, it helps a lot. Especially when doing photography at night.
