Location
This was taken in my Living Room, In Liverpool.Time
Late afternoon, just as the sun begins to set, getting caught in the leaves of the trees that line our local park.Lighting
It wasn't quite golden hour, but the light was still warm and just catching their faces through the window.Equipment
I didn't have long to get the shot, I was sat on the sofa behind them reading, and looked up to se so I rush downstairs and grabbed my camera (canon 5dm4) and took it.Inspiration
We had been stuck in lockdown for a month or two by this point. On top of that my partner was very ill from the long-haul effects of covid. She had no energy at all and would spend her days just looking out the window. Our wonderful dog helped us through this time by being as enthusiastic as ever as we sat there.Editing
Not a lot, just basic curves, contrast, etc. (and obvious B&W) in LightroomIn my camera bag
I have canon 5Dm3 & 4 , 24-70mm and 70-200mm 2.8 which are my two work horse lenses. Then 50 & 35 primes, flash and trigger, 2x convertor and a few other bits and pieces. The side pocket has a medicine kit and the front pocket has a load of batteries.Feedback
Just be aware of what is happening around you. A very mundane scene (what by that had been our life for weeks) has artistic merit. There is beauty in the worst situations if you look for it.
