Behind The Lens

Location

I was on a tour boat cruising in the everglades in Port Everglades outside of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA.

Time

Around eleven AM.

Lighting

Just the natural light in the Everglades.

Equipment

After carrying heavy equipment, lenses and gear around for years, I have slimmed down to a fully adjustable (read full manual setting possibility) Canon G12. It is lightweight, lets me adjust any settings, and does not hurt my neck and back on daylong excursions.

Inspiration

Beauty of the scene.

Editing

Just simple cropping and slight change to the exposure.

In my camera bag

Canon G12, lens cleaners, extra batteries, extra card. I travel light.

Feedback

Always have your camera with you, no matter where you go. That is reason for small G12. Keep your eyes open and take the shot right away. It will be gone in seconds and you will regret it for years if you don't.
