A replica Royal Aircraft Factory BE2c (Great War Display Team) takes part in a mock air battle over Duxford Airfield. Designed as a two-seat reconnaissance-light bomber, the Royal Aircraft Factory BE2 first flew in 1912 and went to France with the British Expeditionary Force in 1914. Later, it became virtually helpless against the more modern German fighters and was largely withdrawn from frontline services by mid-1917.
