Behind The Lens

Location

In my studio

Time

Time of the day??? Probably during the small hours of the night when I was most comfortable working

Lighting

Combined four flashes. One rear two sides and one front. Making the right amount of light is the thing that obviously takes the most time and not their location

Equipment

Most of the time I working with the Fuji GFX. in this time I work with the Fuji X-T2 anf the Fuji 35/1.4

Inspiration

This project is based on Dante's three historical books. (The first is hell.) Dante's hell concentrates on the seven sins on which we are going to suffer in hell: Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Sloth, Wrath, Envy, and Pride. In this series of works (Hell.) I have chosen not to present sins as they are. For example, I did not find it necessary to take sexual pictures as a way of presenting the sin of Lust. I see no reason and logic to describe things as they are. But to show how sin affects us and way we are sent to hell according to Dante. How human conditioning causes us to do the sins of man who send us to hell.

Editing

Only converting to B&W and exposure fix not more than that

In my camera bag

Fujifilm GFX 50R + Fujinon GF 63mm f/2.8

Feedback

Investing in the design and construction of accessories is just as important as the photography and technical side. If nothing is behind the image other than "beautiful picture" then it is better to wait for "something bigger" to come. www.guygevaart.com
