Location
This photo was taken in Dayton, MN along the back country roads. My granddaughter wanted to use one of my cameras and try photography. So I picked an area that had a variety of things to shot at.Time
It was in the afternoon, there was a recent snowfall so there was fresh soft snow. It was a cloudy day and the weather was chilly. Just at the tip of evening.Lighting
We worked with the natural lighting. It was a cold and cloudy day with a little overcast. It actually gave on photos pretty coloring and some foggy looking background. Prefect day for unique pictures.Equipment
I used Canon EOS 70D camera with a Canon Zoom Lens EF 70-200mm. No flash, just natural lighting.Inspiration
My granddaughter inspired me to take this picture. We were out snapping together, she loves photography as much as her Grandma does. I was so proud of how she was doing ad listening to my advice that when I looked over and saw this image I knew it was one worth a memory shot.Editing
NoIn my camera bag
Canon EOS 70D Camera, Canon Zoom Lens EF 70-200mm, Tamron Zoom Lens SP 150-600mm, variety of lens filters, Extension tubes, extra batteries, flash, Tall tripod and a short tripod, lens cleaner, lens clothes, lens brush, Canon compact- Macro lens EF 50mm, Canon EFS 18-55mm lens and a Canon Powershot SX740 HS (for quick snaps)Feedback
My advice is to take your children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews or any one with you that would like to learn photography. It is such a relaxing and peaceful hobby and each person behind the camera has their own vision of what they are seeing. We can all take a picture of the same thing and end up with different results. I told my granddaughter there is no bad picture, each one is a moment that will not happen again and it is caught on camera so cherish them all. Pick your favorites to frame.
