I took this photo in my restaurant in 2018. I have since sold this restaurant. This was our famous "Peanut Butter Pie".Time
I took this photo in early morning near one of the windows. I was in school for photography at the time and this was one of the assignments. It was perfect because we were also creating a new menu and needed new images.Lighting
This was done with natural light from the window and a reflector.Equipment
This was taken on a tripod and I did not use a flash, just a reflector to manipulate the natural light with the help of an assistant. Canon EOS Rebel T6 Aperture f/4.5 ISO 3200 Shutter 1/20 Focal Length 28/1Inspiration
It was a school assignment, however it was for my restaurant menu as well.Editing
I did make minor modifications to the highlights. In my camera bag
My bag is loaded with stuff. I never know where I am going to be or what I am going to shoot. I have two cameras, 2 speedlights, multiple batteries, small reflectors, a tripod, several lenses and cleaning items.Feedback
Take pictures of the product to be sure you have the light where you would like it before pouring or sprinkling anything on it. Have a few products available in case your first attempt didn't work as you had hoped. Also, have an assistant available. My assistant had to hold the spoon and the reflector. She did a great job.
