Location
I took this photo in Taipalsaari, Finland. This place is only about 1,5 kilometres from my home.Time
In Finland during winter, there’s very little light. So this shot was taken in the afternoon, around 2PM. The sun was going down, and in this shot, in a perfect spot.Lighting
The sun was in a perfect spot, to get the rays of light coming between the trees. The color of the sun was also pinkish, I knew I had a chance to get a really cool looking image.Equipment
This was shot handheld, with a Nikon D500 (one of the best cameras ever made) & the Tokina DX pro 11-16mm lens. Nothing else. Simple and beautiful.Inspiration
I really really love natureshots in the wintertime. When we have the sun out here in the north, it’s amazingly beautiful. I try to look for interesting framing and I think in this image the light comes in perfectly.Editing
I use Adobe Lightroom. I only added some saturation, and played a bit with the color temperature of the sun. Nothing too drastic. In my camera bag
I always carry a wide lens, a tight lens and variable nd’s. For a basic walk-around, I don’t need anything else.Feedback
Just go out, and look at your normal Surroundings from a different angle. You might find some really Nice images to be taken ;D
