The photo was taken in my studio in Vancouver BCTime
The session was shot in later afternoon after the makeup artists completed the body painting in the model which was about a 5 processLighting
The lighting was quite a simple 3 light setup up to strip banks on either side of the model and behind her and the key light was an Elinchrom lite motiv modifierEquipment
The equipment used was a Canon 1DX with a Canon 100mm 2.8 Marco lens. The lighting and modifiers were Elinchrom.Inspiration
I work with up coming makeup artists in Vancouver . I give my time and studio to help them with their portfolios . So the inspiration and idea comes from the makeup artist . I just photograph the subject and light it .Editing
Yes there was very little post processing ,I try to get most of the photograph done in camera but for this photo we added a color grading for the effect. In my camera bag
I usually carry my Canon 1DX with the 100mm 2.8 Marco and 24-70mm lenses . Or occasionally I’ll carry my Hasselblad DX1 with a 90mmFeedback
The best advice that I can give to others is have a vision of what your are trying to capture lighting wise and posing . There is a lot of try and error but without a vision you cannot obtain your goals Thank you for the opportunity to share my work and thoughts !!
