I was out walking in my favorite meadow by a river in Mount Shasta, CA one morning.Time
This was about 9 AM after doing a great crossfit working, then taking my dogs for a walk. It was a chilly morning and I didn't have a tripod, but was able to hold the camera steady enough to capture this beauty!Lighting
This was a raspberry bush that had been dusted with snow and slightly frozen. I loved how the white contrasted with the dark, fall colored leaves.Equipment
My Cannon Rebel with macro lensInspiration
I was looking to take some good macro pics that morning, as the snow dusting was so pretty!Editing
For macro shots like this, I usually just adjust the contrast a little bit to make the image pop. I might have added some exposure too, as I don't think it was a sunny day.In my camera bag
Just my Rebel, macro lens and regular Tamarind lens. When I'm swimming, which is most days, I always have my GoPro with me, as I swim in the Caribbean Sea with turtles, dolphins, rays and fish! I have recently purchased a DJI Drone though! I'm excited to start using it.Feedback
For macro shots of leaves, I'd recommend using a tripod to keep everything steady. I don't like to process too much, as I like it to be more natural.
