Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo at Shinnecock Annual Indian Pow-Wow in 2019. The Shinnecock Indian Powwow is one of the largest Native American Gatherings on the East Coast. The photo was taken during the dance upon the drum.

Time

It was around 3pm-5pm

Lighting

It was a sunny September day.

Native peoples built thriving civilizations. I am fascinated by the culture and customs of these first inhabitants who helped shape our country.
