Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken at my apartment where I spend most of my time editing pictures.

Time

It was summer time and it was a middle of the day. The weather was warm and little bit cloudy.

Lighting

I used natural light and took this photo standing close to the window.

Equipment

Canon 6D camera, 50mm lens and that's it.

Inspiration

As I am a photographer I usually don't have many chances to stand on the other side of the camera, but I really I wanted a photo together with my boyfriend so I decided that we need to take "self-portrait like" picture. We were joking around and laughing a lot while I was holding my camera in one hand and taking pictures. All that process was fun and full of good vibes. I knew I wanted to focus on our eyes and that's why the end result looks like this.

Editing

I changed contrast, hue/saturation and retouched the skin in Adobe Photoshop.

In my camera bag

I love to keep my bag light and comfortable to carry around. Normally I'm carrying 50mm and 24-70mm lenses and that's it.

Feedback

Before you take a shot think, imagine what would you like to focus on, what would you want to show and why you are taking this shot. You have to feel the moment, feel the vibe in that moment when you put your finger on the shutter button.
