How did you get such awesome close-ups of the Stones? They are all to magnificent that I have to like them all!

Location
This photo was taken during the No Filter tour of the Rolling Stones in Marseille. As a concert photographer it was a great opportunity to shoot this great rock band.Time
This photo was taken in the evening during the show. I can't say exactly during which song, but it was pretty early in the evening and Mick was enjoying his performance.Lighting
During a concert you don't have much of a say about the lighting, but I try to chose the songs were the lighting is natural. Some of the early songs have the best lighting as a lot of press photographer can only shoot during the first three songs so they tend to keep that in mind when coming up with a lighting plan.Equipment
This was shot on a Canon eos 6D, using the 70-200 lens with an aperture of 2.8.Inspiration
During a concert you don't have much time to think, sometimes you just feel the shot. I always try to document the atmosphere and the energy of the band. Mick Jagger is great to shoot as he moves around a lot and has the most expressive poses. I tried to show the energy of this hot summer evening in Marseille with these amazing rockstars on stage.Editing
Just the usual touch ups in lightroom: white balance, vibrance of the colours... Really minor adjustments to make the photo shine even more!In my camera bag
The first thing I pack is my camera, a canon eos 6D and my three favourite lenses. For concerts I always pack the canon L 70-200 and the 28-70 f/2.8. Normally I also take the sigma art 50 and 85 with f/1.4 for some great portraits. Occasionally I also take my wide angle with me, but this depends on the event I'll be shooting.Feedback
Try again, fail again, fail better. Concert photography is fast and you will miss some great moments, but keep trying. Have confidence and don't let yourself be pushed around. Start at a local show, where you can use your top gear. With a small portfolio of great shots even from local bands you can get somewhere. For my first Stones show I was in the audience, shooting with a pocket camera (Canon Powershot GX7 Mark II). Use a big aperture and a fast shutterspeed to freeze movement, pay attention to your ISO. I got a chance to shoot the Rolling Stones using my top gear, but even with a pocket camera you can shoot the money shot! It's all in the moment, capture the raw emotions of the show!
