Behind The Lens
Location
This was taken at my local park. I stop here every morning before I head off to work. I work as a property photographer but every morning I try and go to the park to capture natures magic before starting my day.Time
This is one of my favourite photos. I took it at around 8 in the morning. I always make a stop at my local park in the mornings before heading off to work. I remember it was so so cold and the pond was icy so the birds were struggling to ‘land’ on the water so they kept flying and diving back down.Lighting
It was the very first rays of light from the sunrise that morning, and luckily was just behind the birds creating a beautiful backlight to light up their wings. It seemed magical.Equipment
This was shot on a Nikon D750 with a 70-300mm Sigma lens.Inspiration
Nature. Nature is so inspirational, there’s so much beauty in everything around us.Editing
I had done very little post processing on this photos. As much as I love coloured photos, i felt the movement and light was complimented better with it being monochrome. In my camera bag
The one thing I have have with me when I go to the park 70-300mm. But in general, I always have my 50mm f1.4, easily my favourite lens!Feedback
Always be ready to capture the moment, and having patience always helps!
