Location
This photo was taken at the Pass of Maloja in Switzerland. I had to stay here for several hours to wait until it was dark.Time
My friends and I did not plan to stay on this pass. But as soon as it began to darken, we realized that we need to make a couple of night shots. So we waited. I took this picture about midnight. It was a little scary to be there in the dark, because the road there is narrow. I apologize to the drivers, whom I could have caught unawares by my presence.Lighting
I was lucky that the road to one side was blocked off the border with Italy. Then a lot of cars were there on the pass at once. There was a lot of light from the headlights.Equipment
This picture is taken by Nikon d7000 + Nikkor 14-24/2.8 of my friend, because at that moment I only had Sigma 17-50/2.8, and this angle was not enough. I also used a Benro carbon tripod.Inspiration
I'm afraid my answer will be very banal. Because if you are in the mountains and you see a stunningly beautiful winding road leading to the pass, then this must be photographed!Editing
It was very dark there. My camera could take only 30 seconds. It was not good enough to capture all the traces. So I had to take a few pictures and connect them in the editor. In my camera bag
Previously, I always had a camera Nikon d7000, lenses Sigma 17-50/2.8, Sigma 70-200/2.8 and Nikkor 35 1.8, The couple of filters (polarizing and ND) and the Benro tripod in my backpack. Now I switched to Sony. So instead of the old camera will have Sony a7-3 and 24-105/4.Feedback
Here everything is simple: the main thing is not to be lazy to walk much, watch a lot and not leave anything for later, and do everything right now.
