Behind The Lens

Location

This was shot in Uttakleiv beach in Lofoten islands, Norway.

Time

The shot was taken in the middle of the night after enjoying couple beers by a peacefull campfire.

Lighting

This was taken near total darkness. There was just a little glimpse of light in the horizon.

Equipment

I used Canon’s rebel 760D, a cheapest lightweight tripod you can find, and sigma’s 10-20mm f4-5.6.

Inspiration

I had seen couple of night photos taken by some people I know, so I decided to try it out myself.

Editing

I desaturated blue tones a bit so i got more of greyish look, added pretty strong vignette and some contrast. If my memory serves me right.

In my camera bag

At the time i had Canon 760D, sigma 10-20mm f4-5.6 and sigma 18-200mm f3.5-6.3 and very lightweight manfrotto tripod.

Feedback

You dont have to have the best gear in order to take great photos. I mean look at this, night photography with a crop-rebel-body, and relatively cheap wide agle lens, and reallyreally affordable tripod. Just shoot in raw and with 30 second shutter or bulb.
