Location
The photo was taken in the forest area of Ratnagiri district in India. I wanted to take a closer picture, so going near the bird through water stream without disturbing it was really tough task.Time
It was taken early in the morning around 9 am.Lighting
I stood at East side of the water stream as it was morning. So I had a good chance to capture bird pictures with better light. The sun was at 40-60° angle, so perfect reflection of the bird formed into the water.Equipment
I captured this image handheld with Nikon Coolpix P520. No other equipments were used. I didn't have DSLR that time.Inspiration
We're blessed with beautiful wildlife around us. These beautiful creatures always fascinate me. Love for wildlife always makes me wander into the forest in search of beautiful birds. Pond Heron, which is a very common bird here I wanted to shoot in a different way and I had this opportunity.Editing
I managed to capture this image in such a way that very little post processing required for it, which I generally do in Adobe Lightroom or Picasa. In my camera bag
Generally I have Nikon D5600 with 18-55 mm & 70-300 mm lens kit along with Nikon P520 point and shoot camera.Feedback
While taking bird pictures, always be patient. Don't disturb them and have very less body movements in their natural habitat, so that they will feel comfortable with you and will allow you to come close.
