Location
North east of Langenburg, Sk, Canada. I was driving past this spot when the stalks of wild oats caught my eye.Time
This was taken as the sun was setting on a July evening, shortly after 8:30 pmLighting
Shooting during the golden hour gives great lighting and great resultsEquipment
My basic Canon 100d, and my wide angle Tokina 11-16, handheldInspiration
I was looking to capture a sunset with a rural feelingEditing
I processed the image in lightroom, adding very little vibrance and saturation. I had to add some contrast in the sky with a ND filter. Brought up the shadows and blacks to bring some detail into the field in the foregroundIn my camera bag
I always have my wide angle lens for landscapes, my 70-200 for both landscapes and wildlife, and my 400 f5.6 for wildlfife.Feedback
Be prepared for the sunset to disappear quickly and to battle mosquitos. Be as prepared physically as possible
