If you follow me on other sites, it's no secret that I have an affinity for stopping on railroad tracks to snap a quick photo of trains coming down the tracks. In this instance however, there was NO TRAIN when I stopped, but there was a car coming from behind so I knew my stop was going to have to be a quick one. So I briefly stopped to snap a 3 quick shots of the fog on the tracks. I no sooner got off the tracks when the arms came down. As it was a straight stretch that I was shooting at, I thought maybe the train was coming from the other way and I just didn't see it! Because had I waited just a few seconds more, I would have been trapped on those tracks between the arms! But nope, the train came from the direction I was shooting in! I count this as one of my lucky days! So I had to commemorate it by shooting the arms in my outside rear view mirror. You can see the car that was behind me on the other side!
