Location
I was walking through the Boboli Gardens, the biggest park in Florence, when I noticed a puddle with lots of shadows. When I took a step forward I got to enter the reflection of a man who was smoking next to a lamppost.Time
The sun was already quite low, close to sunset. And he was right facing me, so the shadows were very long. With this I got the shadow of the man to appear in the puddle, without showing a trace of his body in the composition.Lighting
The sun light was still strong. But I knew this would work well with high contrasts in a black and white photography.Equipment
It was with the little Canon 100D, and the simple 18-55mm lens.Inspiration
The beauty of the place, got me fascinated and watching to every single detail of the parc. The place was the one who inspired me in all the senses.Editing
I did transform it into black and white, and played with high contrast levels. In my camera bag
Nowadays, the Canon 6D Mark II, with a 85mm Samyang, 50mm Nikkor, and a 70-210mm Nikkor.Feedback
