Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at my in-laws house about an hour from Toronto

Time

It was about 11am on Christmas Eve

Lighting

There was no lighting used, it is all natural

Equipment

This was taken with Nikon D200, 70-300 lens without a flash

Inspiration

I just looked into the room and saw my 22 month old looking out the window. I grabbed my camera and got this shot before she realised!

Editing

I have cropped and sharpened the shot, that is about all

In my camera bag

I carry my Nikon D200 with an 18-55 lens, and also keep a 70-300 zoom in my bag with a flash gun, just in case I need a boost of light

Feedback

I always try not to force poses or situations, I seem to capture better shots when people are being themselves. Keep your camera close at all times, you never know when something might happen, or a great shot has been naturally posed...
