Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken in New Brighton Beach in Christchurch, New Zealand.

Time

One cloudy morning right after sunrise.

Lighting

Overcast and cloudy with a little sunlight. I took advantage on doing a long exposure to get some interest to the sky.

Equipment

I used a Nikon D750, Tamron 15-30mm and a tripod. I also used a 10-stop ND filter.

Inspiration

I saw this lone photographer walking, probably taking some shots of birds. I love this because it's simple and minimalist.

Editing

Yes. Two exposures for both the sky and foreground.

In my camera bag

I always have my Nikon d750 and Tamron 15-30mm with me, with my tripod of course.

Feedback

"There's no such thing as bad light " Be creative. Use filters to create textures. Use time to paint moments.
