Great shot. When I was younger we used to have a pet chameleon. I remember having to catch grasshoppers for it to eat

What a brilliant photo. We used to keep chameleons as pets when I was a kid living in Africa. The ones with a horn used to frighten me.

Amazing chameleon capture...so life-like! Love the texture and color combination. Feel like I can reach out and touch a knobby beautiful creature!

All of your photos look so clean. Love it. I still can’t shoot this way

Location
The photograph was taken on Oct.16, 2016. The camera that I use was Nikon 5200. With a little help from Lightroon I ended up with a pretty good product to show.Time
I believe it was mid-afternoon inside an aquarium in Newport Ky. Just south of Cincinnati. Of course, I had to shoot through a dirty glass window. Lighting was poor. However, Nikon quality poured through!Lighting
As I stated before light was poor and a shadow covered half the open area on the window. I had to be aware of what was happening around me as kids were slowly taken over this small room.Equipment
Nikon 5200 with stock lens. No flash attachment, though at the time might have proven worth while. But then you would have to deal with the glare of the flash. My time was limited so I went into the photograph mean and lean.Inspiration
The assorted colors that was displayed by this chameleon were so deep and rich. He was sitting so still that I believe he was wanting his photograph taken.Editing
Yes I did. Had to get rid of some blurry marks from the glass and brighten up the photo. I also cropped it up a little. In my camera bag
Then very little. But now I use a Nikon 750 with a 24-120 lens, for every day use. Also a 300 prime and a 200-500 zoom. I also have a SB 910 flash attachment with assorted filters, cleaning supplies and back up batteries. All Nikon ! Yes this makes for a heavy back pack. But so very worth while.Feedback
If it is in question shoot the picture anyway.
