Behind The Lens
Location
This photo was taken at local threshing bee in Saskatchewan Canada.Time
This photo would have been taken sometime close to noon. Things were well under way, and this team was later used in the horse pulls at supper time.Lighting
The lighting is 100% natural with the sun shining from behind the photographer. Little wind and warm weather made the perfect day for photo taking.Equipment
Just a Nikon DSLR camera with a 18-55mm lensInspiration
My passion for horses and old time farming inspired me to take this photo. To me it is about preserving history in a unique way.Editing
I think so, I did this photo up a number of years ago now, I think I changed the contrast and brightness a touch and maybe added a little more saturation to make things pop a bit.In my camera bag
Just the camera and the only lens I own.Feedback
Make sure that the light is behind you. Also pay attention to your position, a lower angle (kneeling) will help to keep the horse looking proportionate, rather than getting that big head distorted look.
