Location
This shot was taken was taken from laying on the floor of my lounge with the shot being taken facing out to our courtyard cottage garden while living in FiordlandTime
This was taken mid morning in May 2015Lighting
Lighting wasn't an issue here with this shot as my aim was to get the closest shot possible of the bird with bird feeding on the lavender husksEquipment
The camera I am currently using is the Canon 5D Mark III, with a Canon 70-200 lensInspiration
Typically birds are not the easiest thing to shoot and have been long fascinated with trying gather the patience of getting a really top shotEditing
There was not a lot of processing involved with this shot, mainly bringing some sharpness and clear colour to the birdIn my camera bag
I normally carry a Canon 5D MkIII and a Canon 7D, the 7D with my go to lenses being a 400 and 24-105Feedback
Patience is the key for shooting birds to get that ideal shot.
