This is taken in home studio, I have been passionate about photography since my grandfather gave me my first camera when i was 5. My Mom was worked for Kodak and my Dad was one of the very first camera man on set of the Polish news in Warsaw. He is to this day still written about in the Polish newspapers. So my love and passion I always say I was born with its in my blood lolTime
This was taken early morning, 9am as newborns are I find are the best before noon. This little angel was one of the best babies I have ever worked with, his auora was amazing. I tink he calmed me with his soft nature at times.Lighting
I want my newborn images to have character and draw the person looking at the image to look at all the features. I love playing with shadows and I love how they give this warm feeling to an image.Equipment
I shoot with Nikon d800, lens was a nikkor 50mm, I use continuous light for newbornsInspiration
I want to take more organic looking images yet give a nice polished look. I want my images to stand out and give a feeling of warmness and peacefulness, serenity. I also love dark edits lol so I incorporate and with fingers crossed hope my style of work is pleasing and interesting.Editing
Yes! cant live without my photoshop lol. I clean up the skin, blur out some of the image to give it more depth, curves, levels and solid colour are my go to mostly. In my camera bag
My baby Nikon d800 lol, I shoot alot of newborns so the Nikkor 50mm and if outside I love my nikkor 70mm - 300mm. And because I like to get some creative images when outside I bring along my nikkor 14mm - 24mm. Who am I kidding! I bring along my other 3 lenses "just in case" lolFeedback
With newborns its not as easy as the pictures look. It took me 2 years to get to where I am today, with sweat, tears, and many times swearing off newborns I chose not to give up. I took the challenge and started researching and studying a couple photographers work. Where the light falls and from which direction, angels, playing with the tools in photoshop to see what each one will do exactly, seeing how they position the baby from the head to each finger and toe. If you have the love and patience and determination NEVER GIVE UP! I still have obstacles and hard sessions. I still feel Im not good enough, its being human. Best advice.... NEVER COMPARE YOURSELF TO ANOTHER ARTIST! we are all unique and have something different and beautiful to offer the world. A different perspective on how we see this life.
