Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in Dubai city in UAE

Time

It was around 10 PM

Lighting

This is a cityscape night shot so i used long exposure to get the smooth water and perfect reflections and to have this dynamic move of the clouds ...

Equipment

Camera canon 5D mark III lens canon 16-35 f4.0

Inspiration

I shoot from the same place many times but i was passing and I saw the clouds and as usual I carry my camera with me all the time so I get there and took this shot

Editing

I used lightroom to make adjustment in the raw file I adjust the highlight and shadows and the white balance and than i used the photoshop and adjust the sharpness and re-adjust the light through curves and levels ..

In my camera bag

well I have my canon 5d mark 3 and the wide lens for the cityscape and landscape which is the canon 16-35 F4 and i have my canon 70-300 in addition to my Hoya ND filter 9 f stops and ofcourse my tripod

Feedback

first of all the timing if you can catch this during the sunrise or sunset it would be better, use the wide angle lens for the cityscape shooting , use small aperture ( F11 to F16 ) to get more focus and sharpness , always use the tripod . the slow shutter will be a must to give this effect of dynamic scene and if you have the sun you have to use the ND filter to get slow shutter .
