Behind The Lens

Location

Photo was taken in the Old Blackrock Road, Cork City, Ireland.

Time

If I remember well, it was afternoon. I was cycling (yes, even during cycling I have my camera with me) and I didn't know that this part of the city was under flood. That winter was incredible amount of rain in Ireland, and floods were quite often.

Lighting

Light was not so good, it was typical cloudy day and I just wanted to get closer and lower to the water. Even though the area was flooded, some cars were still passing by, that's why there are small waves on the photo.

Inspiration

Well, reflection of the trees and mirror image was the first thing I've noticed. And even though it was flooded, I was so happy about it, it gave totally different perspective on everything.

Feedback

Get close, into the water if it's necessary, everything for a good photo. Wait for the right moment, so I guess patience is important as well.
