You must be good with people. I have noticed that all of your models look very comfortable in front of your camera. Excellent work. People are difficult and you make it look so easy.

Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at a friend's home that we were given permission to use as our studio for the day.

Time

This photo was taken in the spring of 2015, around midday. The sun outside the large bay window was straight up in the sky.

Lighting

In addition to natural sunlight from the large bay window, I used an Alien Bee strobe within the room for fill.

Equipment

I shot this photo with my now retired Canon 40D, and my awesome Canon EF 70-200 2.8 lens.

Inspiration

I had spotted this location within my friends home immediately upon entering, and knew exactly how to shoot Britni against this great background.

Editing

I did some subtle cleanup of skin flaws, along with some standard dodging and burning that I like to do.

In my camera bag

A couple of camera bodies, 3 to 4 lenses that I believe I'll need for the day, a few portable flashes, and lots of spare batteries and memory cards.

Feedback

Shoot as often as you can, practice is the only way you'll get better as a photographer!
