I took this photo at my grandparent's home in Oregon.Time
It was early in the morning, when the misty fog hadn't yet lifted from the surrounding forest. We went to the garden to pick the ripe raspberries for a sweet breakfast.Lighting
The light that poured into the kitchen window was soft and illuminating, bringing out the natural bright red of the berries.Equipment
I took this photo with my Canon Rebel t5i using my trusty 50mm f/1.8 lens and no other equipment.Inspiration
I loved the feeling of that misty morning. It was quiet and calm. The berries were so naturally beautiful, and abundant, that I was reminded of how wonderful it is to be sustained by earth's fresh produce. This, along with the brilliant window lighting, inspired me to take this photo.Editing
The only editing I did was slightly increase contrast and saturation to bring the focus to the subject. In my camera bag
I always have my Canon Rebel t5i body with me. It is light, and has great quality. Second, I keep my 50mm f/1.8 lens in my bag, no matter what. It has a variety of uses, from great portraits to food photography. With these two, I am prepared for almost any photo opportunity.Feedback
Use that aperture! I shot this at f/2.8 to really focus on the berries. Also, lighting is key. I recommend using window light on a partially cloudy day to disfuse sunlight into a soft, but bright illumination.
