I actually got lucky and was able to snap this as I was stepping out of my car!Time
It was roughly around 3:30 to 4:00 pm. I had just gotten back from my local camera shop where I had just bought a new 70-300 Tamron lens.Lighting
Nothing really special. I just got lucky with the timing.Equipment
This was shot with a Canon Rebel T5i and a Tamron 70-300 lens.Inspiration
The deer was in a very regal pose. Almost as if it were asking me to take the shot.Editing
I simply switched it to Black and White and then did a little bit of tinkering with the contrast. I did it all in Gimp because as a broke teenager I do not have the money to pay for Photoshop and Lightroom. In my camera bag
First of all I am always packing my nifty fifty, the Canon 50mm 1.8 lens. This thing though it is at a low cost, is very versatile in its uses. I also pack my Canon Rebel T5i body and kit lens. Recently I have also been packing a Minolta x-700 35mm slr. Working with a film camera has really improved my photography in that it makes me think about every shot I take.Feedback
Just keep shooting. The more you shoot the more you will improve your skills. Also if you shoot more you might get lucky like me and get a shot like this.
