Behind The Lens

Location

This picture was taken from Brooklyn Bridge Park overlooking the Manhattan skylines and the freedom tower. This was my first night/Long exposure shot i ever took. it was my starting point.

Time

This was at night about 11PM

Lighting

It was my first long exposure shot i ever took it was a cloudy and colorfull night and i wanted this clouds to have a moving effect and the water to appear silky and sharp.

Equipment

This was shot with a Canon T3 and a cheap 25 dollar tripod from amazon. The lens i can not remember i was with a friend and he gave me his lens. but it was shot at 17/1 MM

Inspiration

I saw lots of pictures of this place and i live 15 minutes away and i love this park. so one night my friend texted me how about we go out shooting night photography at this place? so i jumped on his idea and got this picture that night.

Editing

I did some editing in Photoshop to enhance the colors of the sky and opened some of the highlights which was a bit overexposed.

In my camera bag

I have my Canon T3, 18-55 mm and my 50MM prime lens. a MeFOTO Aluminum Tripod (A1350Q1T)

Feedback

I'm still learning every day. i wish i have more time to take some pictures every day. if you have a passion in photography make sure you go out once a month or in a weekend and shoot, don't let your hobby get rusted.
