Thank you so much, Brenda, for taking time to comment! I really enjoyed photographing this as the storm was coming in at the end of the day!

Location
This photo was taken in San Leon, TX at one of my favorite spots .Time
Taken at approximately 6:00 p.m. in the evening during the sunset hour. As you can tell, it was winter time and therefore the tree had no leaves.Lighting
It was a cold evening and there was a storm moving in to the Galveston Bay area.Equipment
I utilized my Canon 7D along with a tripod and trigger release for stability. f/6.3, ISO 100, 0.8 second exposure, 14mmInspiration
I love this place for photography, especially during sunsets or dramatic storms. The leading lines of the pier take your eye out through the photo and out into the ocean.Editing
The only post processing I did was convert the photo from color to black and white for a more dramatic feel using Photoshop. In my camera bag
I normally have either my Canon 6D or my Canon7DII in my bag along with either a wide angle lens 10-22 or 28-135 for walking around. I also do quite a bit of bird photography and for that I will also carry my 100-400 II along with a teleconverter. I always have my flash as well as a remote trigger release.Feedback
Patience is always your best virtue in photography. Sometimes it's as simple as taking two steps back or two steps forward or side to side to make all the difference in the overall appeal. Use a trigger release and a slower shutter speed to get the smooth water effect.
