Location
Taken my our spare room where the wall was the right colour of blue that I needed..Time
Afternoon shot.Lighting
Used a wireless flash postioned under the table that the glasses were standing on,,flash was pointed directly onto the blue wall. And camera flash used.Equipment
Canon 600D ...18=55 canon lens....tripod,cable release, wireless flash..glasses ( wine glass and tumbler ) red food colouring, fake ice cube and slash cover over the floorInspiration
Just love the idea of freezing water splash and I needed to try it myself......love the way you get different shots ,,one photo of mine made the water freeze to the shape of a mermaid diving into the glass........go for it ,the more shots you shoot the better.Editing
yes...colour needed to be adjust to show the deep red in the bottom of the wine glass, small reflection marks were also removed.sIn my camera bag
Canon 600D .200mm zoom lens,100mm macro lens,18-55mm lens,,batteries.cleaning clothes,and some things that never get used lol.Feedback
Fill the wine glass half way with coloured water ( use food colouring ),place a tumbler glass in the wine glass and fill that with clear water..drop things into the tumbler and use a cable release to capture the splash ,make sure flash is pointed onto a nice coloured back ground,,,,,,,,patience.....you may need to take lots and lots of shots,,,everyone of them will be different,,but one will stand out .....Have fun oh and watch you dont get the carpet wet haha
