Nothing special about the lighting, all naturalEquipment
This picture was taken with a Nikon d5100, Nikkor 55-200 lens @ 116mm, f/4.8, 1/250s and ISO at 100Inspiration
I've been living in Reno most of my live and have attended the Balloon Races a number of times. I always enjoy the interesting and exotic balloons such as this one but there was something about the side profile of this one that really caught me eye. I took a number of pictures of it from several angles, but something about it at this position made it interesting to me.Editing
Very little, some cropping and decreased the exposure just a bit to enhance the detail in the balloonIn my camera bag
I have my d5100, a Tamron 18-250 lens as my main go-to lens as well as the standard 18-55 lens and the 55-200 I shot this with. I always carry a tripod although I rarely use it and several different types of filters.Feedback
Patience is a must, and I am always looking for unusual angles or positions of objects. I also try to remember to move around my object...it's all about the angles. Shooting an object straight on can be interesting but sometimes moving around it and shooting it from an unusual angle produces interesting results.
