Location
The photo was taken at one of beautiful beaches in Kuta Lombok, Indonesia. I love taking picture of shores, beaches, in colors or black and white, especially when the sun rises or sets. Lombok is my favorite island, there are beautiful beaches to exploreTime
It was taken at about 5 am, just before the sun rises. It's about 50 meters at front of my hotel. I remember that I brought my tripod and looking for a place to put it on steadily 30 minutes before the lights came out. The low tide helped me to watch my steps on the slippery rocksLighting
I wanted this image represent my idea about a serene dawn before its broken by the sunrise.I always love the rich colors of the dawn. I put the horison in the middle of the picture to get both of the skies and the shores. I have green moss all over the rocks for my foreground, wet sands patterns, and reflections of the hills and the skies with their colorsEquipment
This was shoot with my Nikon D90, Sigma 10-20mm wide angle lens, a Hitech GND 0,9 filter and a Manfrotto tripod. These are my favourite equipment to take landscapesInspiration
I love taking landscapes, especially the colors of the dawn, I also love the wide angle lenses to get the dimension of the foreground and the skyline. This photo was taken on my trip alone to some beaches in Lombok. It took 4 days to explore them. From 5 am to 6 pm I look for photos of sun, sand, sea and adding my photography experienceEditing
I processed the photo with Adobe Photoshop to enhance the colors more vibrantIn my camera bag
I never bring many equipments when taking landscapes. I just have my DSLR, a wide angle lens, tripod and some filters (ND, GND and of course CPL) in my camera bag. I want to maximizing their functions.Feedback
Wake up earlier and be patience. The landscape photography mostly depends on the weather. If you think rainy days or grey clouds and high tide willruin your photos, think about long exposure and black and white. It will worth your waiting for sunrise...
