Behind The Lens

Location

There is a lovely fountain in Wroclaw's Szczytnicki Park. This particular one was one of the smaller gushes. The fountain basin is a part of The Centenary Hall complex built in 1913. There is a beautiful Japanese garden as well.

Time

It was a midday in the Summer.

Lighting

It was a very bright day but the water itself does not need to be backed up by any artificial light.

Equipment

As usual my 1D MkIII Canon, 50 mm lens (1,2), no flash, no tripod.

Inspiration

Water has always been a fascinating object to me. It is rarely still, always floating, always going somewhere and with a bit of human help it performs perfectly.

Editing

I only use Canon Digital Photo Professional software. No Photoshops.

In my camera bag

1D Canon, 70-200 2,8 lens, Either 50 mm, 1,2 or 40 mm.

Feedback

Speed is the key. Use series of 3-5 shutter bursts. Focus on light since a picture can be easily overexposed. Try to find good angle and use all servo mode. It moves!
