What an opportunity, I was dog sitting my cousin's two dogs at his place in my city, and his dog was being very photogenic!Time
I forget exactly what time of the day it was, but it was probably in the afternoon.Lighting
For this shot all I needed was the light coming from the bay window, it was letting in a lot of natural light!Equipment
For this shot I used my trusted Pentax K-30 with maybe a tripod and the natural light of the sun through a windowInspiration
What inspired me to take this shot was my desire to create a portrait that I looked back later on and say wow! I also wanted to test the rule of thirds. I think I succeeded on both fronts.Editing
It's been a long time, but I think the only postp-processing I did was the usual level correcting, nothing else was really needed for this photo. In my camera bag
It depends from shoot to shoot, usually I have a Pentax K-30, an external flash, an 18-55mm Lens, and a 55-300mm lens.Feedback
Just take your time and don't over think it. I was lucky that my cousin's dog was a natural poser.
