This photo was taken in my own flower garden. I was waiting for the bee to sit on calendula... hence the name-Yellow Delight!Time
Date: 29/1/2012 Time: Around 12 :00 pm I was checking my flowers and suddenly found a bee and followed it for quite a long time and finally got this image.Lighting
It was winter in India and sun light was just perfect to taking this shot. All morning fog disappeared and light was just bright enough so give a sharp image.Equipment
Camera Type - Nikon Coolpix L100 (Point and Shoot); Its macro lens it just perfect to take any macro shot. ISO: 400; Sutter speed: 1/555; Focal Length (35mm format) - 83 mm; Max Aperture Value - 3.5 Flash not fired. No Stand was used.Inspiration
full bloom calendula looks awesome!! In this case, the flower I choose (sorry, bee choose) was surrounded by many dull flowers so, I cropped my frame such that the bee with flower will be in focus. It was very much delightful in my eye and so captured it posted.Editing
I did slight adjustment using PhotoScape Software. Increased contrast and brightness, that's all!In my camera bag
I have only this Point and Shoot camera as I am an Ameture photographer and Photography is my hobby. So, most of the time during any tour, my Nikon L100 use to be in my hand (not in bag) to take a sharp shot!! It may be a troop of ant carrying food or a bird or a bee on flower.... as it is light in weight so I don't feel any trouble carrying it for hours...Feedback
If you are ready to go for photography, never keep your camera in bag!! keep it ready so that you can take a shot when you want.... have enough patient to take a photo like this. You may get this in 10 min or may be you have to run for hours behind a bird or a bee!!! I tried to blur the background as much as possible using my Nikon L100, can be done much better using any DSLR.
