Behind The Lens

Location

Photo was taken in Australia at the Dandenong Ranges which is about 50klms from the Capital City of Melbourne in Victoria.

Time

Early morning it was bitterly cold & very wet

Lighting

It was a overcast morning with grey cloud

Equipment

camera was a Lumix GH3 using a wide angle 7-14mm Lumix lens

Inspiration

The inspiration was to drive into the ranges to see what opportunities there was it was on this cold, wet, foggy, misty morning. The trees were very high & straight with clouds rolling through the top of the branches, I thought there just has to be a photo opportunity & there was…….

Editing

Not much post processing just a little contrast & cropping..

In my camera bag

In my bag I have a Lumix GH3 & GH4, My most popular 2 lenses are 12-35mm Lumix & 35-100mm Lumix also have Voighlander F.95 / 25mm / Lumix 45mm Macro Lens & Lumix 100-300mm .

Feedback

Get out of bed early & head into rugged bushland areas where you are out of your comfort zone, you will always find things to photograph it really helps it your camera & lens are shower / water proof, as the last thing you want to be worrying about is getting your camera wet…
