Location
This photo was taken on the island of Kaua'i waterfront that looks over Hanalei Bay.Time
I was lucky this was a beautiful sunny afternoon with blue skies and that the rains from earlier that day had vanished. This location is definitely on the wetter side a lot of times.Lighting
I chose this time of day so the sun would be behind the subject but not to low towards the horizon. The shade of the trees provided perfect protection from the sun so I could have it shining in frame.Equipment
Shot with a Nikon D7100 and an 18-55mm lens.Inspiration
The couple in the photo were celebrating their anniversary so it was important to me that I captured love, affection, something they could feel when ever they see this photo.Editing
Very light processing was done to this photo. I toned down the highlights to give a clear view of the background, added some contrast, and vibrance for the color. In my camera bag
The lens on my camera at most times is either the 18-55m or my 35m 1.8 and a 200m. With this I can usually go out and get nice shots even if the weather is less than ideal.Feedback
No matter the conditions or weather, just keep going out and shooting. Everyone will be out on shoots when the elements are not cooperating but the more you go out with your camera in those type of conditions the better ideas you'll have to work with it and make it happen.
