Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photograph in my house. I wanted to have a memory of my son at Christmas and I improvised a scene with the Christmas decoration.

Time

Since I didn't use any type of flash, the light was quite a challenge.

Lighting

I took the photograph during the day, as there was a lot of light I covered the windows and left only one through which the sunlight entered. I helped myself with a rebounder to direct the light towards the child.

Equipment

This was shot Sony alpha 7RIII , lens Sony FE 2.8/70 - 200 GM OSS

Inspiration

My son was my greatest inspiration. he is just magical! When I saw him observe his snow globe with such astonishment, I simply realized that I could get a nice photo there. My son is at that age where the magic of Christmas is real and I wanted to be able to reflect it in a photo

Editing

After the shot, I edited the photo in Lr and Ps to achieve that vintage mood - before I wanted to reflect

In my camera bag

My photographic equipment is quite simple: a camera, a lens and the light bouncer. I love how the photos look with natural light!

Feedback

For those people who want to take a similar photo, I advise you to make use of all the things you have at hand. It is possible to achieve Christmas photos with little budget. Sometimes less is more
