Location
Bearizona in Williams, AZ.Time
It was around 2pm. It's very beautiful and there are lots of trees to shade the area.Lighting
It was all natural light. I love using natural light. The area was shaded by huge pine trees with sunlight seeking through. It was beautiful.Equipment
I used my Canon Mark IV and my 70-200mm lens.Inspiration
I have always wanted a great photo of a fox. When I arrived at the fox enclosure Stitch was sitting on a rock just waiting for me posing. He made sure I got all his good sides and looked right at me. I spent probably 30 mins with him, I didn't want to leave.Editing
I put all my photos through Lightroom. I adjust the settings, white balance if needed. I did soften and blur the background a little to make Stitch pop. I also cropped it so it would just be his cute little mug.In my camera bag
My bag typically weighs about 30 lbs. I have My Canon Mark III and Mark IV. My lens include a Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L lens, Canon EF 200-400mm f/4L IS USM, Canon EF 17-40mm F/4.0 lens, Tamron AF 90mmF/2.8 Macro lens, C Canon 85mm f/1.8 lens, Canon 50mm f/1.8 lens, Sigma 24mm f/1.4 lens (which I think is probably my favorite lens at the moment), Canon 270EX II speedlite & a tool kit with cleaning supplies. I always have extra batteries & CF cards on hand and a tripod and monopod in the car. You never know what you're going to run into.Feedback
Patience, patience, patience!! Don't be in a hurry and stay calm. I have scared plenty of animals cause I get SO excited. Make sure your settings are set properly for the situation, your batteries are charged & you have a card in the camera, I have learned from my mistakes. I rapid shoot so I don't miss anything. Animals are so unpredictable and you have to be ready for anything.
