The swamps seem flat when there’s no leaves on the trees. This time of season is perfect for lighting to come through. The sun set helps too.

Equipment

I climbed on top of the dry swamp and free handed this photo on a Nikon Coolpix P500 set to the “landscape” mode.

Inspiration

It was a split choice to walk on the swamp to take this picture. Those are some of the best times to take a picture though.

Editing

Added a little bit more shadow to create definition on the small lumps.
