Location
This photo is taken in my home town of Florø, the most western city in Norway.Time
I'm a natural light photographer, this picture was taken in November when there is very little light in this part of the world. The picture was captured just before sunset at 5 pm.Lighting
I wanted the picture to look mysterious, so this part of the day was perfect for the combination of darkness and light that I was looking for.Equipment
This was shot on a Canon 5D mark 4, with a Canon 50mm 1.2 lens.Inspiration
This pictures was inspired by Norwegian fairytales. A lot of the take place in the woods where creatures like trolls and fairies live.Editing
Yes, I post-processed this picture in Photoshop. I did not do too much but I made my shadows more blue and also increased my highlights and shadows with curves. In my camera bag
I shoot with the Candin 5D mark 4. Being a portrait photographer I mostly use the two lenses Canon 50mm 1.2 and the Sigma ART 85mm 1.4.Feedback
To create a smilier image I would recommend using a forrest with tall trees standing close together. The closer to winter time the better to avoid the leaf trees that also tend to grow in the forrest (at least that's the case here in Norway). The flower crown I made my self by tying the flowers together. I often find that asking the model to look down gives the picture more of a mysterious vibe.
